Sayyed is a chartered engineer, also registered in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, who has over 22 years of experience with detailed design, owner’s engineering, project delivery, and life cycle management of substation projects. He has worked in various capacities with clients including National Grid UK, EDF Energy, ABB Power Systems, SSEN UK, SHP UK, Saudi ARAMCO, and WAPDA.
As a principal designer for construction, design, and management, Sayyed manages interdisciplinary teams and coordinates with manufacturers, surveyors, design subcontractors, and all third-party stakeholders for project delivery compliant with a client’s requirements. He has also been involved with factory acceptance tests and type tests for extra high voltage and high voltage plants including transformers, relays, and switchgear at labs of leading manufacturers.
When he isn’t working on his latest voltage-related project, Sayyed can be found exploring his interests including music, cricket, and classical Arabic, Persian, and Urdu poetry.
