One look at April’s credentials and professional experience (transportation and civil engineering) will tell you that her knowledge is far-reaching—from highway, railway, and bicycle roadway design assignments to traffic signal work and electrical designs. Her client base is also extensive, with projects that she has performed for the NJDOT, NJTA, NYCDOT, PANY&NJ, and many other local agencies.
For April, working within the transportation industry for projects like our Route 9A Promenade assignment have been the most fulfilling. By teaming with other design firms, our client, and various agencies to improve a damaged corridor next to the World Trade Center after 9/11, April was able to transform her design work from concept into reality. Plus, the rebuilt highway provides safer roadway transit for the community.
Well-planned and well-informed designs are her priority, and her goal is to convey the importance of roadway design elements like traffic signal, signing, striping, and geometric layouts to the public in order to encourage roadway safety.
