Whether the ground beneath a project is in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or anywhere else, Chamith is proud to provide geotechnical services including investigation, interpretation, and design to enable safe construction. With over 10 years’ experience, he has developed a strong technical foundation of design principles in geotechnical engineering, with which he empowers clients to make informed project decisions.
Providing a range of geotechnical services for multi-story structures, flood defense structures, pavements, bridges, and other infrastructure, Chamith enjoys the collaborative process with colleagues and clients. He shares his knowledge through training and mentoring and provides a supportive environment where staff are valued for their work. A project he is proud of is the Bulleen Park and Ride facility as part of the North East Link Early Works project. Chamith and his team delivered investigation, detailed geotechnical design, and construction phase services.
Away from the office, Chamith has three passions, travelling, hiking, and whiskey. He was able to combine his passions during an 18-month stint in Scotland. Chamith experienced boutique whisky distilleries, encountering a variety of sights to see and things to do along the way. Immersing himself in the culture, Chamith found time to bag many Munros—a popular Scottish pastime—hiking and climbing to many peaks in the Highlands. He also enjoyed a relaxing break, exploring the wondrous Faroe Islands during the summer solstice.
