Russell is a chartered engineer with over 20 years of experience. He’s worked primarily within the transport sector, focusing on strategic highways, local transport, and contractor-led schemes. Russell’s previous roles included asset systems lead (highways and drainage) for the Smart Motorways Alliance, as well as project director for several design and build schemes.
Based in Birmingham, with a specific focus on community development and transport infrastructure, Russell is responsible for growing the regional team to develop new relationships, opportunities and offerings for clients and communities. He’s working on expanding the local team and being involved in the many improvement projects that are proposed for the region, such as the public realm improvements to Smallbrook Queensway.
Alongside his project work, Russell also sits on Swansea University’s Industrial Advisory Board, is a member of British Standards committee 509/6, and is a graduate of cohort 11 of the Roads Academy Senior Leaders Programme.
