As a technical lead, Andrew starts his work in a project’s early design phases and continues through contract administration. In his hospital and healthcare work, Andrew has had to learn the technical requirements of just about every hospital department—from specialized joint replacement operating rooms to highly-specific MRI suites.
During the ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development project, Andrew served as both project manager and technical lead. The goal? Deliver three unique but similar buildings in separate locations. They were in different municipalities, but each facility needed to maintain a similar feel. A public/private partnership (P3) project, the completed buildings are incredible spaces that constantly generate positive feedback from occupants.
In the office, Andrew serves on committees for technical standards, BIM, A+E integration, and contract administration. He also sits on the Centennial College Architectural program advisory committee. At work, Andrew likes to figure out how things go together. Away from the office, that translates to his love of cooking, particularly for his two chief critics—his teenage boys.
