As a senior transportation engineer, Jeff approaches traffic engineering by first removing the boundaries of preconceptions—just become something hasn’t been done before doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be a valuable option for the situation.
Jeff is passionate about implementing context sensitive solutions that benefit current stakeholders and future generations. Implementing this mindset, he recently developed a software alongside North Carolina Department of Transportation staff to determine interchange configuration recommendations early in the planning stage of a project. Another favorite project of Jeff’s was the widening of the US 64 highway in Cary and Apex, North Carolina. Together with his team, Jeff employed the use of passive data by way of Bluetooth detecting sensors that helped determine origin and destination pairs of the motoring public.
Outside of work, you can find Jeff spending time with his family in some form or fashion or brushing up on his movie trivia.
