A senior principal, David is an effective project leader with comprehensive knowledge of the entire building process. He has guided the design of many large developments including new designs, renovations, adaptive reuse, investigations, assessments, repairs, and modernizations for commercial, high-rise, healthcare, civic, and specialty structures.
David’s commitment to the community includes his work on Aspire, an educational monument in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. He consulted on the structural aspects of local artist Maxwell Emcays’ creation, which celebrates the academic potential of the community's students as well as the neighborhood itself.
David is the author of several professional papers and has presented on a variety of topics, from mass timber high-rises to structural issues related to urban healthcare.
David is proud to call Chicago home. He and his wife have raised their three boys in the city, passing along to their kids their love of the energy and sense of community living in Chicago brings. He enjoys watching the changes continually taking place and feels honored to have helped add to its skyline over his career.
