Sustainable design and decarbonization are at the heart of Andy’s 25-year design experience. He has a strong background and keen interest in mechanical heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, renewable technologies, and energy conservation. In his work, he draws on his deep technical understanding of how to create sustainable, low carbon, and cost-effective mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) solutions.
Andy’s worked for private and public sector clients across areas such as residential, health care, education, retail, and energy and data centres. Today, as technical director, he leads our Manchester MEP team. He led our MEP delivery on Points Cross in Leeds, a project for The Guinness Partnership Limited—one of the largest affordable housing providers in England—that's set to deliver 928 affordable and sustainable homes in a key regeneration area for the city. He’s also led the Manchester University framework.
When he isn’t managing MEP projects, Andy enjoys running, camping, and attending music and motor sport events.
