Photo of Sid

With a focus on terrain mapping and aerial photo interpretation, Sid Tsang knows changing your point of view changes what you perceive, often with valuable insights. Sid is a senior geoscientist with over 30 years’ experience in applied geomorphology. On the ground, he also conducts field work and pursues business development, with the aim to grow opportunities for his Geohazards and Geomorphology team. Sid started his career in British Columbia as a terrain mapper led by one of the province’s experts, and from that experience learned the value of mentoring, which he enthusiastically practices.

His portfolio includes terrain and terrain stability mapping for over 800,000 hectares in British Columbia. Prior to joining our team in 2012, he completed numerous environmental assessments for key stakeholders as a consultant. Some major projects he’s worked on include the Coastal GasLink Pipeline, BC Hydro Site C (Peace River) Clean Energy Project, and Woodfibre LNG. Through effective communication and comprehensive field work, Sid is proud to help clients make informed decisions.

In his spare time, he bikes, explores local parks, enjoys nature with his two daughters, and volunteers as a technical reviewer for Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia.
