From a young age, math and science interested Sarah, and she knew she wanted a career focused on these skills. Since joining the transportation team at Stantec’s Winnipeg office, she has earned her P.Eng., M.Eng., and gained experience in project management, bridge design, and contract administration.
Sarah’s philosophy is to strive to enhance communities by improving public space and people’s daily lives. Leading a segment for the Chicago Transit Authority Red Purple Modernization design build project has been a favourite role of hers to date. This project is reconstructing, modernizing, and building 1.9 miles of elevated track, including bridges, stations, and support structures along Chicago’s busiest transit corridor.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys hiking, canoeing, snowboarding, and trying new restaurants. She loves travelling and her favourite countries are those with the best hiking and camping—New Zealand, Iceland, and Peru to name a few!
