As a geological engineer-in-training with experience primarily in rock mechanics, Tara has contributed to projects in the mining, tunnelling, geotechnical, and pipeline sectors. She’s participated in several large drilling programs for mine development across Canada and a liquified natural gas (LNG) facility in Alaska, doing detailed core logging, packer testing, and instrument installation.
Tara also conducts photogrammetry surveys of exposed rock cuts for remote mapping with ShapeMetriX software using both conventional and aerial drone imagery.
Passionate about rocks, travel, and the outdoors, Tara finds that working with our rock mechanics group allows her to pursue these interests while working on meaningful projects.
