For nearly five decades, Roy has undertaken various roles in the mechanical engineering environment. From design to project management to insurance advisory and team leadership, he believes being involved from start to finish on a project is best, from sharing his experience to improving his capabilities as an engineer and project manager.
Roy leads his team of mechanical, electrical, and process engineers while also growing and developing the buildings business. As the project manager on water and building projects, he understands how his work impacts the broader community, such as improving wastewater reticulation and treatment. Recently, he provided mechanical consultation after a fire at a newly constructed seven-story conference center at SkyCity in Auckland. He conducted damage assessment and ascertained whether the client could save any mechanical and electrical equipment.
To unwind, Roy spends a lot of time outdoors on his lifestyle block and is an avid Leeds United football fan.
