Jay's career in process engineering was sparked by a keen interest in the processes that protect our environment, particularly the ability to generate electricity from wastewater gas.
What drives Jay in his daily work? Knowing that improving wastewater treatment and air quality profoundly impacts communities. Leading the odor control design team for the Burpengary East and Brendale Sewage Treatment Plant upgrades taught him the critical importance of health and safety in sewage treatment and the various risk factors involved.
Jay believes clear communication and a comprehensive understanding of technical aspects are key to meeting client needs. Looking ahead, he’s eager to work on projects that advance wastewater treatment and air quality, continually improving processes and technologies.
When he’s not working on turning “eww” into “phew,” Jay enjoys playing tennis.
