A registered professional engineer in Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Alberta, Mohamad brings a strong technical background to his projects. His leadership achievements include being Lean Green Belt certified and a Six Sigma Champion.
With nearly 35 years of experience, he’s led multiple project teams in both engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and construction management (EPCM) methods, as well as integrated project delivery. He also has extensive knowledge in mine energy management and design, mine power, and decarbonization and renewable energy use in mining.
Mohamad has a proven ability to evaluate projects, focus on achievable results, and positively impact internal and external relationships. He currently serves as the project director of the Nickel Rim South Mine, an underground base metals mine in Northern Ontario. This project is intended to extend the life of the underground workings and lead to significant economic value in the Sudbury Basin.
In his free time, Mohamad enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with his three children.
