Working with the Chicago Transportation group, Dan develops staffing plans for the Structural team and mentors others so they can shine. He enjoys the challenge of working on projects that will better entire communities and society.
Dan is passionate about building a safe, communicative, and inclusive work environment—in order to handle the complex challenges that come with bridge design, it’s important that the entire team works together to create the best results. His work on two major $100 million projects for state departments of transportation, as well as smaller, local jobs, has given him the experience and problem-solving capabilities to tackle new challenges that come his way.
At work, Dan values optimism and straightforward solutions to get the job done right the first time. He identifies the key tasks for his project team, finding ways to get the simple tasks done first and allowing more time and resources for the complex tasks in order to develop detailed solutions.
Away from the world of transportation, Dan enjoys swimming, reading, doing yoga, and spending time with his wife and three children.
