An industrial engineering practice lead for North America, Alan has twenty years of progressive experience on operational improvement and facilities planning. He’s focused on maintenance, repair, overhaul, and operations in the manufacturing, transit operations, supply chain, warehousing, and distribution sectors. Using industrial engineering, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies, he helps organizations increase productivity, eliminate waste, and promote efficient and effective use of their resources.
Alan provides functional and operational-related planning expertise at the front-end of industrial building projects through feasibility studies, functional programming, site selection, master planning, and conceptual design. During the detailed design and construction documentation phases, he works within interdisciplinary design teams to help translate the functional needs of the client into an operationally efficient and cost-effective site and facility design. His projects have included warehouses, distribution centers, transit, and light rail operations and maintenance facilities, manufacturing plants, as well as some work in the health sector.
In his spare time, Alan’s a nature enthusiast who enjoys trail running in the City’s river valley, cycling, and traveling to see new places.
