Jonathan works on coastal ecosystem, stream, and wetland restoration to promote sustainability and resilience. He is the blue carbon specialist on the Nature-Based Climate Solutions team, advisor to the Midwest region stream and wetland restoration team, regional technical lead in the environmental design community, and our Water team’s point of contact for the natural capital, nature-based technology, and biodiversity groups.
Before joining the “dark side” of engineering, Jonathan was an ecologist studying wetlands and fluvial systems. His favorite projects apply nature-based design principles to protect communities and critical habitats. He is currently advising coastal protection and restoration authority on carbon credit incentives for a coastal master plan in Louisiana and developing a country-wide mangrove restoration program for an oil and gas client in South America to offset emissions.
When he’s not working with nature to find sustainable solutions, Jonathan enjoys relaxing with his family, live music, fly fishing and tying, kettlebells, and trail runs.
