James is a chartered engineer with over 20 years of experience, primarily in bridges. He’s led numerous project teams in delivering a variety of project management, design, asset management, and site supervision functions across the United Kingdom. He manages and is developing our Midland’s bridges team, across the Birmingham and Northampton offices.
Having worked in both the public and private sectors, James has completed numerous structures design, refurbishment and assessment projects, using associated software and reference to both Eurocodes and British Standards. He has managed inspections of large bridge stocks and provided senior asset management advice. Working with a local Council, he was accountable for the technical approval of all council structures work, as well as developer and third party structures designs.
Looking to give back, James acts as a mentor and chartered engineer reviewer within the Institution of Civil Engineers. He has previously acted as a regional health and safety coordinator—National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) qualified.
