Using sustainable design practices, Haley manages projects, brings designs to life, and improves on our parks, trails, and public spaces. She specializes in open space design, environmental restoration and green infrastructure, such as rain gardens, green roofs, constructed wetlands, and stream restoration.
During her work around the Grand Bend Wastewater Treatment Facility, Haley designed the constructed wetland, nature trail, and site naturalization features—contributing to North America’s first ISI Envision verified wastewater treatment facility. She and her team not only provided a wetland to support native wildlife species and further improve water quality of treated effluent, they also provided a community amenity for local environmental learning initiatives.
Outside of work, Haley’s still active on behalf of the environment, whether that’s participating in tree planting or promoting and improving her profession through her volunteer work with the Ontario Association of Landscape Architecture (OALA). She also loves to hike, bike, swim, cross-country ski, and spend time with her three kids.
