As an ecologist, Dylan facilitates field surveys, collects and interprets environmental data, and writes reports. He identifies and interprets environmental values for clients, as it’s often a legal requirement and part of their due diligence, especially for new infrastructure projects. These environmental values are often highly treasured by the local residents, so Dylan believes that helping retain them is a win for the client and the community.
While he’s worked on environmental surveys across multiple states and various environments, Dylan has particular experience with the Dandenong Ranges and Central Highlands forest ecosystems. He’s proud to be a member of the team working on the Melbourne North East Link project. Some of his tasks include flora and fauna impact assessments, arboriculture assessments, ecological monitoring, water quality testing, and aquatic fauna salvage.
When he isn’t busy helping to preserve environmental values, Dylan likes to spend time with his two-year-old. He also enjoys bushwalking, camping, and getting out onto the cricket field on weekends.
