Growing up just south of St. Paul, Minnesota, Matt was always looking for opportunities to escape from the suburbs to the surrounding lakes, woods, and prairies. Today, he’s a project manager and senior soil scientist leading our Natural Resource team in North Dakota enjoying a career that often takes him outdoors to remote project locations.
With extensive experience in soil science, wetland delineation, mitigation and permitting, and hydrology and geology investigations, Matt is a registered Professional Soil Classifier in North Dakota and a Minnesota Certified Wetland Professional. He’s been involved in numerous natural resource inventory projects throughout the Midwest and beyond. Matt often works with agricultural producers and private industry to balance the growing need for food and energy with environmental regulation and conservation initiatives. Matt values honesty and integrity and attributes his success to simply doing sound technical work and honoring the commitments made with our clients.
Matt and his wife, Annie, have two young children and a dog that keep them plenty busy. He’s also a private pilot and likes adventuring to remote places to hunt, fish, or camp whenever possible.
