Scott Reed

Principal

Photo of Scott

Scott became an architect to make a difference in our society. He believes that architects and engineers have a moral obligation to do their best work and to consider how people are affected by the buildings they design. At work, his main responsibilities are to build a strong healthcare presence in Los Angeles and to win work through a focus on marketing, business development, and collaborative leadership.

One of Scott’s joys is taking complexity and organizing it so that it makes sense. This comes in handy during massive healthcare projects like the UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center. As principal in charge at one of the most awarded hospital projects in California, Scott helped create a landmark facility that demonstrated excellence in care, architecture, planning, and patient experience.

A huge music lover, Scott at one point had season tickets in four different opera houses. During the fall and winter, he’d be traveling every weekend to some performance or another.
