Based in Ottawa, Ontario, Christène is a water resources engineer within our Urban Water Resources group. She models urban water distribution and conveyance systems using hydraulic modeling software in support of master planning, system capacity assessments, and subdivision planning and design.
Throughout her work, Christène has developed scripts in Python, R, and Shell to efficiently process large datasets and create visualizations to support data analysis and decision-making. She also has a background in analyzing historical climate trends in central Europe and assessing the impacts of climate change on the German federal transportation system, from her time as a research scientist with the German Meteorological Service (DWD).
When Christène isn’t diving into hydraulic modeling tools, she’s adding new languages to her repertoire including English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, and, most recently, Korean.
