With nearly three decades of professional experience in both collecting and interpreting geologic engineering data, Carrie has worked on physical infrastructure projects like dams (for water and mining), tunneling, and pumped storage hydropower facilities. She also has conducted tunnel routing studies, rock slope stability analyses, and landslide investigations.
Carrie has conducted geotechnical studies for contractors, local governments, public agencies, and the federal government. She was the lead engineering geologist for the design of the Chimney Hollow Reservoir Project in Northern Colorado, and she currently holds a senior review role. The project—anticipated to be complete in 2025—is a large hydraulic asphalt core dam for a reservoir that will provide a reliable water supply for 825,000 people across 12 municipalities.
When she isn’t studying the ground we’re working on, Carrie enjoys river rafting, traveling, exploring new places, and tending to her vegetable garden—which isn’t always a simple process with the ever-changing Colorado weather.
