Lauren is passionate about the intersection between transportation, housing, and health. She has developed a transportation demand management program, researched barriers to medical transportation, created content for public engagement, and has served as a lead analyst for various bicycle and pedestrian planning studies.
Pairing her planning background with her past experience as a geographic information system (GIS) analyst at Furman University's sustainability center, Lauren enjoys finding ways to effectively visualize and present data while engaging with communities throughout the planning process. Her background in sustainability science and urban planning is grounded in a strong systems thinking orientation, which she applies to better understand interrelated social-ecological systems.
When she isn’t expanding safe and accessible travel options for everyone, Lauren enjoys riding her bike on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, being active in her community, reading, and cooking.
