As a graduate water management consultant, Gabby supports community development projects by researching and writing flood risk assessments and undertaking modelling of climate change scenarios for flooding.
Gabby has two years of experience as an interdisciplinary doctoral researcher in environmental science and human geography. In her time at the University of Reading, she supported many facets of soil science research, from fieldwork and sample preparation to laboratory and data analysis. Her own project focused on natural flood management and working with community partnerships, particularly evaluating the efficiency of leaky barriers. Gabby’s priority is to be sensitive to the community perspective to improve local partnerships and sustainability in flood risk management, and she is excited about learning more about modelling flood risk in the face of a changing climate.
Outside of work, you will find Gabby baking cakes, playing local league netball, or on a long hike with her dog.
