A structural engineer, Seth is experienced with various aspects of bridge design, inspection, and load ratings.
Seth’s design experience includes prestressed concrete girders, hammerhead bents, straddle bents, post-tensioning, curved steel girders, integral end bents, and various types of foundations. He also serves as an assistant bridge inspector on highway and rail bridges across North Carolina. Seth’s work has included two alternative delivery projects, including the State Highway 288 Toll Lanes Expansion project out of Houston, Texas where he designed two multi-span flyover structure, and the noteworthy Chicago Transit Authority’s Red and Purple Line Modernization Design-Build project, serving as bridge engineer and design lead. He takes pride in seeing his projects come to life.
Growing up, Seth spent a lot of time outdoors, often building workbenches or treehouses from scratch. Any time inside was spent with playing with Lincoln logs or puzzles. For Seth, these activities helped frame his profession as an engineer.
