Dave has been advancing mining projects and operations in Canada for the past 32 years as a professional engineer and project manager. He has extensive experience in engineering, operations, maintenance, studies, and project management. He puts people first in his work and credits teamwork and employee engagement to his career success.
Throughout his career, Dave has managed projects ranging from $40M to $200M. He’s managed conflicting work activities and has overseen mine development as well as operations workforces up to 300 people. He’s served as chief mine engineer at Coleman Mine, project superintendent at Shebandowan Mine, and mine operations and maintenance manager at Creighton Mine, all in Ontario, Canada.
From 2015 to 2018, Dave served as a board member for SNOLAB, an underground science laboratory located two kilometres below the surface at Vale’s Creighton Mine. Before joining Stantec, Dave spent a year renovating a farmhouse in North Bay, Ontario. Now that their three kids are grown, Dave and his wife spend their free time attending community events.
