A principal architect and program manager in Buildings and on our Retail team, Gianna manages a confidential account with a global retail brand while also working towards generating new retail and workplace project opportunities in Texas. Plus, she’s actively involved in improving opportunities for minorities and women in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. She also champions architecture licensure and has mentored many candidates through the exam and licensure process. Among her other industry leadership endeavors, in 2021, Gianna began a 2-year term on the American Institute of Architects Strategic Council.
Before joining Stantec, Gianna led a team that developed an entertainment project in an underperforming office building in downtown Los Angeles—an office building that just happened to be, at the time, the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. The scope included developing the ticketing, queuing, elevator sequencing, event space, and an exterior slide.
Gianna has a wide range of interests including jewelry design, painting, cycling, gardening, and hopes to one day find time to write a novel or two. Her philosophy about life is to embrace change and welcome continual learning and to ultimately leave this world better than she found it.
