As a biologist specializing in aquatic fauna, Isabelle is well recognized throughout Quebec and across Canada. She has nearly 20 years of experience and extensive knowledge related to ecology and the identification of Eastern Canada’s fish, amphibians, reptiles, crayfish, and molluscs.
She has also developed substantial expertise in identifying aquatic plants, aquatic and marine invertebrates, and particular terrestrial insect groups. These skills have enabled her to take part in a wide range of environmental, research, wildlife management, inventory, and environmental impact studies projects.
Isabelle enjoys sharing her knowledge and has written for numerous specialized and scientific publications. In that vein, she co-authored a guide for identifying freshwater fish in Quebec and the Maritimes in 2013. She regularly leads training and conferences, and she is very involved in her profession as well as her community. An outdoor enthusiast, Isabelle also counts snorkeling and photography among her hobbies.
