For Eric, a water resources engineer, understanding and communication are the key to creating solutions for his clients and building productive relationships with them. His approach is to see the full context of the problem. He uses logic, looks to past experiences, and focuses on sound engineering principles to provide potential solutions. He works closely to zero in on the solution that best fits their needs and incorporates their feedback.
With certified floodplain manager (CFM) accreditation, and degrees in both wildlife ecology and environmental engineering, Eric’s water resources expertise includes hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, water quality modeling, watershed permitting and rules development, construction stormwater permitting, stormwater design, wetland restorations, floodplain management, and SWPPP and ESC plan design. He supports his clients’ projects with experience using a wide range of tools such as, PCSWMM, XPSWMM, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, P8, MIDS Calculator, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS to inform his technical analyses and designs.
Outside of work, Eric enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with his family and dog. On weekends, you’ll likely find him out hunting, hiking, or camping—enjoying the great outdoors.
