As a traffic designer, Vadim doesn’t just see a path from here to there. He sees opportunities to enhance communities and contribute to their economic growth, to improve safety for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians, and to provide attractive streetscapes that residents can be proud of. A senior traffic designer and senior road safety auditor, Vadim is responsible for producing traffic designs for government and private sector projects, from concept to functional layout, to detailed major and minor traffic management design.
Specializing in traffic management, pedestrian facilities, car parks, bicycle facilities, roundabouts, and intersections, he also provides swept path assessments, plus street lighting assessments including for the installation of new lighting systems. Recognizing the role transportation plays in climate change, Vadim is excited for the future of traffic design and new technologies such as electric and autonomous vehicles, as well as new models for shared-use roadways.
Recent projects he is proud to have contributed designs for are his traffic management plans for the Duncans Road Bridge upgrade, Barwon Heads Road upgrade, Princes Highway upgrade, and detailed design for North East Link.
Outside of work, Vadim enjoys cycling and swimming, plus kicking the footy with his son. In summer, you’ll find him relaxing with his family on Philip Island and Sorrento.
