Nelson has over 17 years of engineering experience in the field of environmental infrastructure and management. These days, his expertise has been called in on a wide range of projects providing infrastructure planning services for a complex linear line at the Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System Partial Twinning of Transmission Main project.
On another project, Nelson helped the Thames Valley District School Board, a leader in the province, meet the safe drinking water act and regulations. Nelson structured the well-testing program that is still in use today.
To improve water and wastewater systems, Nelson regularly works with local municipalities including Thames Centre and Middlesex Centre to help build business cases for funding grants at the provincial or federal government level.
When he’s not working, Nelson follows his passion for century-old homes—having rolled up his sleeves to renovate his 130-year-old home in the downtown core of London and help his friends do the same.
