When it comes to transportation planning, Alix believes the best solutions provide benefits beyond moving people around—she believes in equitable accessibility for all. With 15 years of industry experience, she draws on her expertise when it comes to active transportation, behavior change, and sustainability. Having managed multidisciplinary projects of varying scales across two continents, she’s worked at improving transportation outcomes for schools, workplaces, hospitals, and new developments in the United Kingdom and Australia.
As an accredited Healthy Streets™ practitioner, Alix is a proud advocate for building community spaces designed for people to connect and interact—not just spaces for road traffic. Recently, she undertook 27 assessments to improve walkability for a town center. This may contribute towards design outcomes for the station redevelopment, ultimately prioritizing walking and community health and wellness.
On a weekend, you’ll find Alix at the beach with sand between her toes, listening to the waves while taking in the smells of the ocean, or out exploring in nature with her two young boys.
