Senior Aquatic Biologist

Photo of Sandra

Sandra currently leads the aquatics team of freshwater and marine ecologists for our British Columbia and Yukon practice and believes collaboration is the key to success. Listening closely and using an empathetic approach, she brings together high-functioning, multidisciplinary teams and strives to understand the needs of clients, regulators, and the public. She efficiently and strategically navigates her projects from baseline through assessment, permitting, and monitoring.

With extensive experience in stream, river, and lake ecosystems in British Columbia, Manitoba, and northern Canada, Sandra is passionate about fish. She collaborates with stream restoration engineers, hydrologists, and vegetation ecologists to identify factors limiting fish production at an ecosystem level and develop habitat enhancement or creation designs.

When she isn’t tending to ecosystems, Sandra can still be found outdoors, hiking and skiing with her husband and children or going for a good run. She also loves to knit and weave.
