Austin has provided geotechnical engineering expertise and delivered successful projects to a wide range of clients across the Gulf Coast region for over 10 years.
Over the course of his career, Austin has worked on everything from complex flood risk and damage reduction systems (like levees, floodwalls, pump stations, and floodgates) to coastal resiliency projects (including sediment diversions and marsh creation), and transportation projects for federal, state, local clients. He’s also worked on facility development, tank farms, and dock structures for industrial clients. While these projects vary in scope, Austin emphasizes providing clients with efficient, resilient, cost-effective, and solution-based designs.
As a New Orleans resident, Austin lives in a community directly impacted by global warming and coastal land loss. Witnessing these impacts firsthand fuels his passion for protecting natural resources and developing more resilient, equitable communities. In his free time, Austin enjoys experiencing the cultural, community, and music of New Orleans, being outdoors, and creativity.
