As our civil engineering section lead in California, Mohammadreza is responsible for the structural analysis and design of concrete dams and appurtenant structures. He has more than 20 years of experience in civil and structural engineering.
Mohammadreza is known for the high-end numerical analysis and design of hydraulic structures using finite element programs such as ANSYS, LS DYNA, and SAP2000. One of his notable projects was the Basha Dam, a 900-foot-high arch gravity roller compacted concrete (RCC) dam in Pakistan. Another project he was involved in was the Gross Dam raise in Colorado, which changed the gravity dam into a thick arch dam using RCC overlay. As an active member of the United States Society on Dams (USSD), Mohammadreza has published several technical papers focusing on structural analysis and rehabilitation of concrete dams and relevant hydraulic structures.
Receiving his PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Mohammadreza’s passion is to work on challenging projects and learn new things. His hobbies are hiking, road biking, tennis, and playing guitar.
