Ian’s work helps clients answer three questions. First, is this the right project? Second, is the business case robust? Third, what outcomes are required to make this work for everyone?
After 30-plus years of answering these questions, Ian’s developed a keen sense of what makes projects succeed for designers, owners, and operators. He’s learned that project success is usually a function of getting a handful of key things right. Determining what those key factors are and communicating solutions in a clear, straightforward manner puts clients on the path to success.
He’s worked on five continents and helped everyone from farmers in Saskatchewan to natural gas developers in Afghanistan make wise choices about project development.
After all that, what keeps him coming into work each day? The chance to use economic development to improve communities.
