As a transportation engineer, Josh has technical experience that encompasses traffic impact analysis studies, campus mobility planning, parking programs, and vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle safety analysis. He’s also well-versed in the development of applications of various traffic simulation models.
Josh’s passion for traffic and transportation infrastructure began on a study abroad in a developing country. A recently completed transportation project there was transforming the community he was living in at the time—serving as firsthand evidence of the potential impact a healthy transportation network can have on people’s livelihoods and wellbeing. So, whether he's working in a traffic analysis program, writing a report, or researching new improvement alternatives, people and their access to the community are the end goal.
With transportation infrastructure always on his mind, some of Josh’s go-to activities—cycling, running, hiking, and camping—include exploring towns, neighborhoods, and parks to gain inspiration for community and transportation network design.
