Working with our Calgary transportation team, Tye is a bridge engineer. His role includes bridge design and inspection, life cycle cost analysis, and construction administration on bridge rehabilitation projects.
Tye’s work focuses on using ground penetrating radar to identify chloride (salt) contamination in bridge decks and modeling potential life cycle costs. When he’s not running statistical models, he enjoys being out in the field; his particular highlights include inspecting remote hiking bridges in the mountains by helicopter and travelling to the Yukon for a bridge inspection program. Tye firmly believes in putting people first, this mindset aligns the right people with the right questions to efficiently deliver the best solutions. This philosophy has helped him establish valuable, long-term relationships.
Outside of work, Tye enjoys playing the bagpipes and spending time with his family at his parents’ farm where they enjoy the animals and scenery.
