As a chemical and environmental engineer, Mitra brings over a decade of experience in the research and development field, along with industrial experience at a pulp mill, to her consulting work. She’s developed and optimized new treatment technologies for municipal and industrial contaminants and provides solutions for difficult issues. She specializes in using plain language to explain complex challenges.
Mitra has extensive experience in the pulp and paper industry where she troubleshoots wastewater treatment systems to resolve compliance issues. If you ask her, she’ll describe her role as being a detective for her clients—she studies all the hidden clues, finds the problem, and troubleshoots the issue to get the system back on track. She’s known to be on the hunt to find ways to fix what’s gone wrong and be compliant again.
When she’s not solving compliance mysteries, Mitra welcomes more plant friends to her growing in-home greenhouse. She also enjoys painting and hiking by the ocean.
