A registered professional engineer, Cecil has over 40 years of experience in process engineering. He’s held management positions in research, product development, project engineering, and production, and his areas of expertise include food and food ingredient processing, specialty chemicals, biotechnology, and renewable fuels. He’s also experienced in technology evaluation, purchase, and sale.
Cecil has extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, with projects related to biomethane, ethanol, biomass, and bio-coal. Additionally, he has deep experience in food-related processing, including edible oils, and pharmaceutical and chemical process engineering, as well as biotechnology projects that include manufacturing xanthan gum and carotenoids. He was the lead process engineer and project manager for the construction of a wheat starch/wheat gluten factory in Keokuk, Iowa, and he served as the national head of quality control and regulatory compliance for Henkel Corporation.
If he isn’t running teams, coordinating design and construction, or mentoring young engineers, you’ll probably find Cecil keeping fit with strength training or devouring a new book. His reading interests are eclectic, but he’s particularly interested in cosmology.
