As the group leader for Dams and Hydropower, Maz also serves as a technical lead on projects, overseeing communication and work sharing for distributed and remote teams. His knowledge spans across the design of various structures including water and wastewater plants, dams and hydraulic structures, coastal structures, normal and pressure tunnels, soil retaining structures, bridges, and residential and commercial buildings. He also has experience with geotechnical design and condition assessments.
Maz has considerable experience in preparing feasibility studies, concept and detailed design, and construction of civil and infrastructure projects. He is particularly adept at effective structural design delivery for multidisciplinary projects, alliances, design and construction, and engineer-procure-construct delivery models. Some of his recent projects include the Warragamba Dam Raising and Lower South Creek program of works, both near Sydney.
When he isn’t working on dams or other infrastructure projects, Maz enjoys reading, swimming, exercising, and cooking.
