Amber has over 20 years of experience in the land development idustry, and is responsible for the project management, landscape design, irrigation design, and construction management on a variety of projects. Her expertise focuses on sports fields, parks, special features, amenities, security, and overall management.
Having worked in Texas, Alberta, and Saskatchewan—as well as internationally—Amber has experience looking at projects as a whole, melding varied scopes of work, and turning potential complications into innovative resolutions. During the Estancia development in Austin, for example, Amber and her team had to work around a number of large heritage trees. Everything from road alignment and utilities to irrigation and retaining walls had to consider these specimen trees, but keeping them in mind allowed the project to take advantage of a 300-year-old live oak that now provides a strong impression at the entry to their community.
When Amber isn’t developing the groundwork for communities, you might find her paddle boarding or kickboxing. She used to teach women’s kickboxing before her recent move to Austin, and she’s looking forward to finding a new local gym. On the paddle boarding side, Amber often takes her dog with her and prays that she doesn’t dump them both in the water.
