Pairing a background in municipal planning with innovative problem-solving, Ian believes in the potential for zero emission deployment to deliver operational improvements alongside emission reductions. He appreciates the value of zero emission goals while acknowledging the challenges organizations face in decarbonizing their operations.
Ian brings a passion for community, natural spaces, and culturally conscience placemaking within the built environment to the projects he works on. Drawing on experience with electrified buses and bike shares, he takes a holistic approach to zero emission transition, aiming for an appropriate fit to meet community needs. The belief that every community—regardless of demographics or size—deserves sustainable transportation networks, guides his work. This includes projects like the City of Regina’s Sustainability Framework Implementation Plan and Design or Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District's Zero Emission Rollout Plan.
When he isn’t helping clients transition to zero emission, Ian enjoys rock climbing, a summer beach day, and riding bikes.
