Joel is known for his solution-centric focus, collaboration skills, and the technical experience he brings to each project. He’s mostly worked in the aviation and health sectors, though he’s also worked in commercial and residential. His duties include investigating, repairing, and renovating existing buildings of all vintages.
For five years, Joel was the structural engineer for the $350 million renovation of the Toronto Pearson International Airport. This renovation will support the airport’s ambition to become a global hub, and it’ll position Pearson at the forefront of the aviation industry’s move towards better guest experiences, shorter transfer times, and maximized revenues.
As a structural engineer, Joel combines his interests in science, creativity, and functionality with his belief in community, hard work, and practicality. Outside the office, you might find him working in his shop, playing hockey, or sitting in a Muskoka chair on the deck with family and friends.
