Romy acquired her bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering at Penn State with a lighting and electrical focus. After college, she interned here at Stantec where she transformed her theorical knowledge into practical skills.
Since joining Stantec as a lighting designer, Romy has collaborated with different principals in the field to achieve the client’s goals, both in functionality and creativity. In addition, she’s expanded her skills in daylighting analysis from LEED- and WELL-standard experience on projects such as the Calgary Cancer Center, iFly Indoor Skydiving, and our very own Stantec Tower.
Romy also enjoys discovering the most effective and efficient solutions when considering energy, sustainability, and user satisfaction together. Her favorite part of lighting design if that it combines functional thinking and aesthetic design.
Outside of the office, Romy is passionate about snowboarding and hopes she can become a master now that she lives in the Pacific Northwest.
