Liza isn’t from the future, but that’s where she works, and has done so for more than 20 years—learning about and developing solutions for climate change. As team leader – Climate Change Adaptation, she oversees a multidisciplinary team of experts working to implement innovative, sustainable, and resilient solutions for our clients.
As a global issue, Liza felt it imperative to gain global experience around climate change. Equipped with a BSc and an MBA, she spent 15 years working with United Nations agencies in Africa, Asia, and Europe. She served as Climate and Environment Coordinator for the International Fund for Agriculture Development, where she oversaw the development and implementation of the Fund’s environmental and social safeguards, and climate and environmental investment programs. She is also lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s fifth report.
Her international work has given her in-depth direct experience in project design and implementation, as well as policies, practices, and methodologies. She is especially happy working within multidisciplinary teams and creating synergies between different areas of expertise. Liza may work in the future, but in the present, she treasures time spent running after her son, and enjoying the arts and outdoor sports.
