Whether its directly or indirectly, engineers impact our communities every day. Something Heather figures she didn’t fully grasp until she graduated college and began her career. Throughout her nearly two-decades as a transportation engineer, Heather has designed all classes of roadways. And, though she likes all types of projects, she enjoys interstate widening and interchange rehabilitation projects the most.
Heather has been responsible for more than 20 miles of interstate widening projects throughout her career, which has involved replacing more than a dozen bridges—both mainline and overpass. She’s a conduit between structural and roadway teams, using her knowledge to help create seamless and successful outcomes.
In her personal time, Heather enjoys relaxing with her two daughters and her husband, Michael, who also works for Stantec. When she does have some free time though, she bakes cupcakes for her friends and co-workers.
