David is a healthcare architect with experience in both largescale alternate delivery healthcare facilities and intricate small-scale renovations. His drive comes from knowing he is contributing to the health and wellbeing of others and supporting those who save lives. He is currently Architect of Record for several clinical pharmacy, MRI, and surgical daycare renovations, as well as a new ICU expansion to the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
Passionate about architecture that engages the surrounding community, David has excelled in the design and construction administration of the most complex healthcare facilities. Most notably, he was the lead clinical design coordinator for the construction of two acute care hospitals in Courtenay and Campbell River, British Columbia. He has participated in several healthcare projects that work within the confines of CSA Z8000 healthcare standards.
He has previously been a mentor to architecture students in the RAIC Syllabus program and team member on several Habitat for Humanity builds in Canada and the Bahamas. Outside of work, his interests are hiking, running, triathlons, and spending time with family.
